The Coaches have many years of experience enabling people with different needs to shoot safely. All equipment is provided, and we encourage beginners to wait until they have been shooting for a while after completing the Beginners Course before considering purchasing their own equipment. This is because an archer’s equipment needs can change as their skills develop. We can offer advice and guidance with the purchases.
We encourage our archers to become Associate Members at other clubs to give the opportunity and experience of shooting both indoors and outdoors, we can facilitate introductions to a new club if needed. There are several different indoor and outdoor archery competitions throughout the year. There is no pressure to take part in these but are a fun way to gauge improvement and test oneself when one feels ready.
These Competitions range from relaxed fun, ‘Record Status’ County, regional, nation and international. The first two are open to all archers the rest one will learn about later. There are two Para-Championship competitions within Kent each year. There are also other competitions that are accessible to archers with a range of disabilities, often CEDAK Archers participate.
